Dark ebony branches swayed stiffly in the breeze, As the

rosy blush buds bloom its sweet scent welcomes the bees.

Many blossoms begin to bloom,

Glittering petals fly from the swaying brooms.

Sakura season welcomed by Hanami festivals,

700 Sakura trees are illuminated by lanterns in Japan’s

Capital. They leave as quickly as they arrive,

“Mono no aware”

The bittersweet realization of the impermanence of all

things.
