Our Favourite Sophie Silva Costumes

Most of you have probably seen Sophie Silva before, but for those who don’t know who she is, she’s a fashion content creator who has created numerous amazing costumes over the years. Here, we have collected our ten favourite costumes to share with you.

First up, we have Jack Skellington from her recent 31 days of Halloween costumes!

The makeup is on point, and the costume is costuming. The dress and corset are absolutely perfect, with the stripes on the legs adding more height, it’s really giving “I’m a 6’11 Skellington”, plus the Santa hat really brings the character to life.  

2nd place is Princess Yue from ALTA (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

The crown has to be my favourite part of the costume. I really like the idea that she’s the moon version of Princess Yue and the whole costume makes the concept stunning!!! The crown is like the light radiating off the moon and the dress is so ethereal.

Also…second place…

3rd place is Pierrot Clown

The whole costume is stunning, but the dress and hat really make it amazing, the shape of the dress is so accurate for a Pierrot clown. And well, it’s just amazing. The straps on the high heels are so perfect and really add to the stripes on the leggings. Also, we need a moment for the makeup, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s giving IT's long-lost French cousin.

4th place is Peacock 

Inspired by the Victoria's Secret runway show, this costume is the embodiment of a peacock; the excessive amount of peacock feathers is on point, and the colour of the corset is perfect, tying it together and blending it perfectly into the rest of the outfit. The wings are so perfect, they are big and take up so much space, very reflective of an actual peacock. I strongly believe that a peacock is her spiritual animal; it suits her so well.

5th place is Belle 

The dress is gorgeous. I NEED it for a Halloween costume, she suits the character so well and she didn’t even need a wig. The volume on the dress, the colours, the flowers, the gloves, the hair, the rose, it's all absolutely perfect. She should play Belle in a live-action movie.

6th place is a collection of Padmes

She has done so many Padme costumes over the years, and we cannot leave them out of this, they are all so perfect. Padme is her. The dedication is crazy. It’s giving real-life Padme and I love it, all the costumes are so accurate and just suit her so well.

7th place is Katniss

The armour goes crazy, and the attention to detail is amazing, the mockingjay pin and all the accessories. Also where did she get a bow??? It’s so perfect, and of course, there is the choker as there should be.

8th place is a Christmas Tree 

It's giving Mariah Carey, and I’m here for it. The present shoes are the best thing I’ve ever seen and absolutely necessary, like all her costumes, it’s perfectly over the top in the best way possible. 

9th Emma Bloom (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children)

It’s niche and I love it. The movie is so good, I need to read the books, they are sitting in my ‘to read’ pile. But the costume is amazing, the chunky heavy boots are perfect, if you’ve seen the movie or read the books the character wears extremely heavy boots because she just floats, hence the rope as well. Also the dress looks so elegant and airy, perfect for the character.

And finally we saved the best for last in 10th place is a Founding father 

10th place for your very own $10 founding father without a father.
