As Music Fest, the biggest and best event of the year, draws near, we are reminded of the intrinsic value found in music. Music has the ability to transform, unite, comfort, and bring joy. Music Fest is such a wondrous opportunity in which the whole school becomes connected by music (whether they can actually sing or not). 

When it feels like the ability to be creative is diminishing in our modern day, where perfection, structure, and grades are idolised, Music Fest is a reminder that everyone is original and can express themselves through their talents. 

As you look through this edition, I encourage you to reflect on the importance of being connected and finding joy in stepping out of your comfort zone. This edition will provide you with an opportunity to reminisce on the past and find out about our contributors' favourite artists.

Maybe you will find a new band to follow, or learn about music in a different culture. Either way, we invite you to enjoy!
