Year 7 Buddy Letters

By Year 7: Abigail, Megan, Emy, Maggie, Immi, Charlie, Isobelle, Alexandra, Eliza, Zoe, Issy, and Eloise

When transitioning into high school, buddies are an important part of settling in and starting a new chapter in our lives. With our year 12 buddies graduating in September, we would like to thank them for the support and kindness they have shown us through goodbye letters.

Abigail Boyle - Kendall

Dear Issy,

Even though I have only known you for a short amount of time, you have made a big impact on my life at Loreto. Thank you for being such an open-hearted, kind and overall amazing buddy. You helped me settle into high school, and even though I came from Loreto primary, it was still tough, but you made the transition so much easier. Even just that quick smile as we passed each other in the hallway brightened my day. I wish you all the luck as you leave Loreto and transition into university. I hope we can stay connected once you finish and move on to better opportunities. You are such an amazing person and I am so glad you are my buddy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being there for me and supporting me throughout my first few terms of high school.

Kind regards,

Abigail

Megan Yip - Maye

Dear Juliette,

Thank you for being such a good buddy to me. I appreciate everything you have done for me. You always support and encourage others and are always kind to everyone. Thank you for being the best Maye house captain and buddy ever! I hope you do well in your HSC, you have a bright future ahead of you. I, along with Maye House, will miss you very much!

Emy Huang - Kuring-Gai

Dear Lucy,

On the very first day of my high school journey, I remember meeting you. You seemed so nice and supportive and I could already tell that you were going to be such an amazing buddy and I wasn't wrong. I guess I was extremely lucky because you have been so supportive of me since day 1 and you’ve been there for me when I needed you the most. We’ve had so many amazing memories together, from the first day, trivia night and so many more. I will forever cherish the amazing times we have had together, I couldn’t thank you enough. I don't how I would've survived year 7 without the love and support you have given me. It’s going to be so sad seeing you go but I know your life beyond Normo will be amazing.

Lots of love,

Emy

Maggie Huang - Kuring-Gai

Dear Bayeh,

It's surreal that you're graduating, it's come to the time from seeing each other every day to not seeing each other ever again. I just want you to know that you’ve been a really amazing buddy. I can't thank you enough for everything you’ve made high school 10 times easier. I treasure all our memories together starting from the very beginning, my first day of high school to the very last, the day that you graduate. I want you to know that you’ve made year 7 very special for me and I'm definitely going to miss our locker conversations and especially not having anyone to tell you about everything going on in year 7. Thank you for being that absolute best buddy in the world, I know your future after Normo will be absolutely amazing. Wishing you all the best in this new chapter of your life.

Lots of love,

Maggie

Immi Hazouri - Barry

Dear Katie,

Thank you so much for always being there for me and for all the great memories we have made through these 3 terms. You are such a sweet, friendly and bright person who always makes people smile. Thank you so much for being an amazing buddy. Good Luck for the future!

Love Immi

Charlie McMillan - Barry

Thanks for being the best buddy ever, you have been funny, you have caught me from fainting, and I love seeing you around because you give me the biggest hugs ever! You're the best and I will miss you lots and lots and lots. Have a great time out of school whilst I'm stuck here for another 6 years. I wish you all the best in the future and I HOPE we stay in touch! You are actually the best buddy I will/have ever had, love you so so much.

Love Charlie xxx

Isobelle Chenney

Hey Liz, I know I haven’t talked to you much but I want to say thank you. From the first day when I was scared to meet you to now when I’m doing everything on my own. Thanks for everything you’ve brought towards the tutor group. I hope you can have a fun time being an adult, able to make many more friends and most importantly, happy.

From your year seven buddy, Issy.

Alexandra Klubis - Ward

Eliza Dale - Mulhall

Dear Becca,

Thank you for being the best year 12 buddy ever. Ever since the start of the year I have loved doing activities, Tutor group and talking to you every day. I love it when you get really passionate about an assessment and read it to the Tutor group, you are always so funny. Thank you for helping me transition into high school and making my days brighter.

From, Eliza

Zoe Stone - Mornane

Dear Eliza,

Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and for supporting me and helping me along the way. You were such an amazing buddy to me and were always there for me when I was upset or didn't know where to go and what to do from the start. I wish you all the best for the future and I hope you achieve what you want to achieve. Thanks for everything, hope you do well in SOFTBALL.

Sincerely, Zoe Stone

Issy Honn - Ward

Dear Sophia,

Thank you for being the best buddy ever. When I first met you, you were welcoming and made Loreto seem like my second home. You were always there for me whenever I needed which I am very grateful for. I still remember you offering to take the train with me and drinking Diet Coke at 7 in the morning. You make the Tutor group such a fun place to be and always make my day so much better. The number of times my friends have told me how lucky I am to have you as my buddy is unbelievable. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Without you, I probably would've taken a lot longer to settle into Loreto and be where I am today. I want you to know that I love you so much and I am your biggest supporter. I will always be there for you like you were to me.

Wishing you all the best,

Issy❤️

Eloise Levay - Kendall

Dear Sophie,

This is your year seven buddy, Eloise. I was so glad to have you as my buddy this year. You have been so kind and friendly to me. I still remember the time in term one when I couldn't find a classroom and you were so helpful, when I got to the classroom you even emailed me to make sure I found it! Thank you so much! I wish you all the best for the future and hope that someday I will be as good of a buddy as you were.😊
