I know (for a fact) that I seriously struggle to get out of bed on those cold winter mornings and I’m sure I’m not the only one! Here are some tips and tricks to transform your mornings into good time!
1. Let light in ASAP
Expose yourself to light as soon as you wake up, whether that is your bedside table lamp or the hallway light.
2. Make your bed as soon as you get out of it
Even though making your bed is a small task, completing it first thing in the morning wires your brain to think that you can successfully complete more things during the day.
3. Put your alarm across the other side of the room
This means that you are less likely to go back to bed or press snooze after hearing your alarm.
4. Change your alarm sound/song once a week
This will interest your brain, make it less annoying to wake up to, and you are less likely to sleep through it because it is a new sound.
5. Drink something as soon as you wakeup
This stimulates your body and gets your organs moving, wakeing you faster!
