2. To all the boys I’ve loved before 2

Down to major business first. In case you were worried, it has been confirmed that Lana Condor and Noah Centineo will be back as Lara Jean Song Covey and Peter Kavinsky.

While it may not be a trailer, here is an official announcement of the sequel from Netflix: We are also told that John Ambrose is set to join the cast as well.

However, fans may have to wait till 2019 or even 2020 to see our favourite hottie on screen again. In the meantime, you can always rewatch the first To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before or get a head start and read the second book. Whatever you do, I know we all can’t wait!

3. Jumanji 2 - Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Sequel

Not much information has been released about Jumanji 2, however we do know it’s due to be released on December 13th 2019 as per Dwayne Johnson’s Instagram. Filming was set to begin in early 2019, so hopefully the cast have already begun.

Nick Jonas is coming back as Jefferson ‘Seaplane’ McDonough and it has also been confirmed that Awkwafina, Danny DeVito and Danny Glover are joining the cast in the sequel to the 2017 movie Jumanji.

While a lot still remains uncertain around Jumanji 2 (or technically Jumanji 3 if you count the original 1995 Jumanji), based off the success of the previous Jumanji, the sequel should be a huge hit.

4. Frozen 2

Frozen 2 has been set to be released on the 22nd of November 2019. Kristen Bell (Anna) has teased that Frozen 2 will not be the typical sequel fans and viewers may be expecting but rather “a story that needs to be told”. Despite the first trailer being released, (found here): fans still don’t know much about the storyline with many speculating certain theories - some including Olaf having a love interest, Anna and Elsa not actually being biological sisters and Elsa’s supposed girlfriend.

Kristen Bell has confirmed that the core cast are all certainly returning with Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff and Josh Gad as Olaf. Even though there are many uncertainties surrounding Frozen 2, we do know it will be a hit!

5. Avatar 2

It has been nearly ten years since the first Avatar movie was released, and now four more sequels have been confirmed to come to our screens. Exactly 11 years after the release of the first Avatar, Avatar 2 has been scheduled to hit cinemas on the 18th of December 2020, followed by Avatar 3 in 2021. There is an expected three-year gap for Avatar 4 then Avatar 5 coming a year after that.

It has not been fully confirmed but it is believed that the consecutive four sequels of Avatar will be named in the following order: Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tukun Rider and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa.

It has been confirmed that we will meet the children of Jake and Neytiri and maybe explore other tribes of the Na'vi, but the director, James Cameron, has the left the majority of the plot a secret.

6. Star wars: Episode IX

The long-awaited next instalment of the Star Wars saga is set to be released in Australia on the 20th December 2019. Star Wars Episode IX is one of the most eagerly-anticipated movies in history, with this film finishing the decades of cinema magic.

The plot and name of this movie is currently a mystery, although fans have clued the conclusion of the Resistance’s battle against the First Order, as well as Rey’s complex relationship with tortured villain Kylo Ren.

Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Kelly Marie Tran, Domnhall Gleeson and Lupita Nyong’o are all confirmed to star in this final film, accompanied by Joonas Suotomo (Chewbacca) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO).

The biggest news is the inclusion of Carrie Fisher whose character General Organa (better known as Princess Leia) will be featured in Episode IX thanks to previously unused footage shot for The Force Awakens.
