Letter for autistic Loreto students -

by Nat Hardwick

A message from your fellow autistic Nat H >:3

Being autistic is awesome! It’s like an exclusive membership- because nobody can know its true secrets but us. Others may try to silence us and try to make us hate our autism but they are just jealous they didn’t pass the vibe check for it! Show them by being proud and open to being autistic!! The road will be a bit hard; some will try to stop you from being open with dumb questions, treating you like a child, and belittling you, but don’t listen! You were cool enough to be gifted with this superpower, and while it does have some downsides, even Superman has his kryptonite! Talk about it openly like it is talking about the weather! Confuse them, and don’t let the haters slow you down! I’ve been open for seven years and though it has some challenges like people not understanding things, most of the time it is because they are uneducated in this area and believe the widespread narratives that stigmatise autism. It is our job as autistics to educate others. Infinity gave us this gift so we can change the world! She gifted us her power and we won’t let others stop us!

We are infinity! And we are forever!

Because even the most powerful superheroes in the world have weaknesses.

In the words of Greta Thunberg,

“I have Autism and that means I'm sometimes a bit different from the norm and given the right circumstances, being different is a superpower.”

Elon Musk:

“To anyone I’ve offended, I just want to say I reinvented electric cars and I’m sending people to Mars in a rocket ship”

Live loud and live proud.

We are infinity.

Keep Hopping Along.

Nat Hardwick,

your local autistic.
